Pandora Promotes Personalisation
Having started off as a small company in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1982, Pandora jewellery has grown to take the world of contemporary jewellery by storm. Indeed, it is now available in over 20 countries across the globe, where it accounts for around 85 percent of their market share. Offering up a unique way to personalise rings, bracelets and necklaces, it is considered to be a popular jewellery staple for many women.
Husband and wife couple, Per and Winnie Enevoldsen first came up with the idea to offer women the chance to personalise their own jewellery back in the early 1980s. Regularly travelling to Thailand to search for exotic pieces to import, it wasn’t long before demand grew so high that they shifted their business into the wholesale market.
By the end of the 80s, the couple opened a production facility in Thailand and employed the services of Lone Frandsen, a designer, to help them produce an exclusive jewellery collection. In 1996, the Enevoldesn’s hired a second designer, Lisbeth Enø Larsen, who created the renowned Pandora charm bracelet.
The biggest advantage of Pandora jewellery is that you can personalise, or mix and match different pieces to create your own unique jewellery collection. To make a charm bracelet, for example, you need to first choose the material you like – either 14ct gold or sterling silver – and the length of chain you require. You can also add a safety chain and clasp.
The next stage is to decorate the bracelet. Pandora has over 800 different charms and trinkets available, and it also brings out a new jewellery collection four times a year. Consequently, there are hundreds of different designs to choose from, including Murano glass charms, exotic-coloured beads and sterling silver and gold trinkets.
This means you can create a piece of jewellery that has your own unique stamp on it. And, whether your style is dreamy and romantic, casual or elegant, there is a huge variety of ways to make your mark. What is more, because charms can be added to the bracelets at any time, they make great gifts for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries.
Pandora’s ‘Mix-and-Match’ range is another way for people to create their own combinations of jewellery, instead of buying pre-matched sets. Making their collections interchangeable, Pandora offers up a selection of rings, earrings and necklaces, as well as an assortment of different charms, which can be combined to produce new looks.
Having revolutionised the contemporary jewellery market, Pandora has worked hard to deliver an enticing jewellery collection that can be personalised to suit a number of different styles and personalities. Offering women of all ages the opportunity to create a one-off piece they can treasure, the result is truly impressive.
