Non Genuine Beads On A Pandora Bracelet?

Is is bad to have non genuine pandora beads on a pandora bracelet
i’ve heard that they ruin the bracelet and kinda chew through the bracelet?

sounds to me like propaganda from the pandora company to get you to buy their over-priced beads. Of course you can wear other beads.
