pandora bracelet for kids
how much have you spent at christmas on your kids?

ive got two girls,
one 15 and one 16.

ive spent about £800 on each of them..
so about £1600 .. plus food and everything
i know christmas shouldnt be about just gifts, but tbh if i never had the gifts i asked for i would be dissapointed.
all there friends are getting more spent on them do you think £800 each is okay ?
they have got stuff like ipods, laptops, straightners, real ugg boots, pandora bracelet etc…

thanks! x
i know its not what christmas is about, but i just feel awful when they compare to what other people have got

Christmas is so commercialized. Yes, I know you feel like you should keep up with your children’s friends, but do you remember the reason for this season? Have you given of yourself to someone who might need a helping hand, a caring word? I give my kids money so they can get what they most want, I leave the decision to them, but I look back at doing things like that over the years and wish I had invested in a college fund, a savings account, some type of planning for each of them. I have begun a savings account for my youngest child, I try to put $125 monthly up for him. When he is 18 there will be around $20,000 for his start in life. This savings will be sweet to hand him when he needs it most in his life. I know he would like an IPod and a laptop computer, but I think this money is being spent much more wisely.
