pandora bracelet gift sets
should i give my ex boyfriend his gifts back?

so i recently broke up with my boyfriend (hurrah! I’m free!! no more cling possessive people in my life anymore! =D)
however he has given me a lot of expensive stuff e.g.
touch screen mobile phone
sliver necklace and earring set
and a Pandora bracelet
should i give them back? the bracelet was for my birthday and the necklace and earrings were for Christmas but he just bought me the phone… what should i do? is it wrong to keep them?

I’d keep the necklace, earrings and bracelet but if he bought you the phone like literally three days before you dumped him or something like that then it would be a nice gesture to call him and say you feel bad because you know he wouldn’t have spent the money if he’d known, and ask him if he wants the phone back. With any luck he’ll say no, and then you can keep it guilt-free. But only do this if you are prepared to hand it over if he says he does want it back.

I don’t think it’s “wrong” to keep it, if that’s what you decide to do. I wouldn’t go round slagging you off for it if I knew you in real life. As everyone else said, he gave it to you, a gift is a gift and doesn’t belong to the giver any more, and it shouldn’t come with conditions like “but if we ever split up I want it back”!

It’s just that it would be a nice thing to do to offer to give it back. And you are a nice person, right?
